The Men4Men SHOP is funded by Luton tPCT NHS and provides confidential, friendly advice to all bisexual or gay men living in the Bedfordshire area. Run by Doug Ritchie-O'Dell the project offers telephone support and by appointment 1on1 counselling for a variety of issues including:-

  1. sexual health information;

  2. sexuality & safe-sex;

  3. gay issues & relationships;

  4. post-trauma sexual abuse;

  5. psychosexual therapy;

  6. personal safety;

  7. STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections);

  8. GUM clinics (arranging treatment if required).

In order to promote good sexual health within the local community Doug and his co-workers Paul and Richard work with all the gay events and venues to ensure that they are able to dispense safer-sex literature, as well as FREE condoms and water based lube.

Additionally, the project strives to fight homophobic crime and situations whereby individuals are discriminated against because of their sexual orientation. It can also act on your behalf as a liaison to report serious incidents to Bedfordshire Police.
