Introduction

The Men4Men SHOP is funded by the NHS Luton PCT & NHS Bedfordshire PCT and is coordinated by Doug Ritchie-O'Dell and his co-workers Paul Woolmer (aka Papa Bear), Michael Gayton and James Roberts. As part of their job you will often find members of the Men4Men SHOP out and about at various outdoor locations, clubs, sauna and other venues in the Bedfordshire area promoting the project and its services. When any of the team is "on duty" they will wear a distinctive t-shirt or jacket displaying the Men4Men logo (similar to the ones pictured below). Please do feel free on these occasions to approach any of them for advice on the project.

How can we help you?

We offer support by telephone and by appointment one-to-one counselling for a wide range of issues, including:

Working in the local community

In order to promote good sexual health within the Bedfordshire area we work with all the local gay venues and events to ensure that they are able to dispense safer-sex literature, as well as FREE condoms and water based lube.

For those who would prefer to have these items posted in an un-marked envelope you can use the site's online order form (due to the project's funding this service is only open to those who provide a Bedfordshire postal code).

Fighting crime

One of our aims is to help fight homophobic crime and situations whereby individuals are discriminated against because of their sexual orientation. It can also act on your behalf as a liaison to report serious incidents to Bedfordshire Police.
